The Nutcracker - Puppet Animation
This is a beautiful time-capsule snippet of stop-motion animation from 1979. Japanese director Takeo Nakamura combines elegant puppetry, fantastic miniature sculptures and a classical music score, turning The Nutcracker Christmas story into this haunting, dreamy, and oft humorous piece of cinematic art. We all the love the vintage Rudolph flicks, but you'll be blown away by the sophistication of this piece.
