Mural at Hells Gate
Docs & Non-Fiction (Cultural)
[ 2:28 - from Vimeo ]
In this video, artists Austin Blasingame, Patrick Maxcy, and members from Love Light & Melody create a 40-foot mural at "Hells Gate." The gate is the entrance to La Chureca, the slum, trash dump community of Nicaragua's capital, Managua. It is a very meditative piece to watch, as the beautiful colors really jump out as a ray of light amidst darkness. The colors dim in the end, however, as you realize just how hard life in Managua is.
